Amir Razmara is an entrepreuner and technologist who has been engaged in the high tech industry for over 17 years in engineering and engineering management roles. Throughout his career, Amir has been involved in various Internet start-ups, ranging from grid computing to ecommerce and social networking.
Amir has experience in managing distributed teams offshore and nearshore across the UK, India, Ukraine, and Brazil. He has led delivery of multiple versions of various products in e-Commerce, Grid, and e-Marketing verticals, for companies ranging from Fortune 100 to startups with budgets approaching $20 MM, and is an experienced leader in delivering projects using agile methodologies.
Amir has been Director of Engineering at Gap’s online division delivering a singleshopping experience across all Gap’s brands, integrating Athleta athletic attire brand into the main site, and internationalizing the shopping experience for product delivery across continental Europe. Aside from Gap, Amir has held various technology leadership positions at MyBuys, Sychron, ATG (Acquired by Oracle), and IBM.
His most recent project is Favorpals, a new social entrepreneurial venture that encourages users to offer to help one another in exchange for others helping their community or charities, which aims to guarantee that the strength of the exchanges reach beyond users to their communities.
