This session will focus on the key financial metrics you must be able to calculate and easily communicate to start, and raise capital for, your social business including sales, EBITDA, free cash flows, break even, cost per unit and the basics around issuing equity and debt.
Natasha Myles is the Founder & CEO of LIFT Investments, a social enterprise focused on small business development and skills training in Nairobi, Kenya. Natasha is also the Finance Director of Hot Bread Kitchen, a social enterprise which provides skills training to newly immigrated women in New York City. Prior to these roles, Natasha worked for the boutique management consulting firm ESV Strategies where she advised nonprofits and social enterprises on their financial growth and prior to that she worked for UBS Investment Bank as an analyst. Natasha holds a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelors of Commerce degree from Queens University, School of Business.
