SIPA Net Impact, COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
SIPA Net Impact is the local chapter of the international nonprofit organization, Net Impact, whose mission is to make a positive impact on society by growing and strengthening a community of new leaders who use business to improve the world. SIPA Net Impact supports an active network of people at SIPA and the larger Columbia community who are interested and involved in the interdisciplinary fields of social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovative yet conscientious business design. We provide our members with various opportunities to engage with and learn from other students, professionals, and academics in the field.
Bridge, NEW YORK UNIVERSITY
Bridge is a Wagner-based student and professional group that seeks to connect students and professionals working and interested in social entrepreneurship and innovation. We believe that innovative solutions to entrenched social problems lie at the intersection of the public, private and non-profit sectors. We provide members opportunities to connect with students, academics and professionals in this space, learn about innovative approaches in the field through discussions and hands on experience, and develop professional skills that will help prepare them for a successful career in social innovation.
MFA Design for Social Innovation, SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS
MFA Design for Social Innovation at the School of Visual Arts is the first program at the intersection of social innovation, design and enterprise. Ours is a design methodology for connecting lives, language, disciplines, places, missions and processes. It works on systems, not pieces, designing behavioral change rather than things or thinking.
