Boot Camp opens with the Pitch Competition, a chance for 12 entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to our panel of judges in an exciting, fast-paced contest. The stakes are high (win up to $3,000 in cash and over $10,000 of in-kind donations) and each entrepreneur has only two minutes to pitch his or her idea. followed by three minutes of Q&A by the judges and audience.
Pitches will be evaluated on initiative, impact, role model potential, and innovation. The competition will be fierce for a number of prizes, including first place prize $2,000, website development/consulting, a year membership to Center for Social Innovation and consulting time with Indie Gogo. But the fun doesn’t stop at the prizes. Attendees can sip drinks from the cocktail bar hosted by Bulldog Gin and Brooklyn Brewery, and enjoy the Dos Toros taco bar all evening.
If you have a idea, or know someone with an innovative solution, sign up to pitch and we’ll cheer for you on November 16th.
